Cheque Payment - Stock will not be sent until payment has been received and cleared (cheques sent to our business address).

Payment can be made securely using your credit or debit card, transcation will not be completed until Oakwood Doors have verified that the goods you have ordered are in stock, this is for your conveniance.

The following charges apply for payment methods:

• Cheques, Maestro and Debit Cards: No Charge
• Visa and Mastercard Cards: 1.5% Charge
• Business Visa Cards: 3% Charge

Our delivery options are as follows, mileage represents miles from our Huddersfield Address:

• 0 to 3 Miles FREE
• 4 to 10 Miles £10
• 11 to 20 miles £15
• 21 to 50 miles £35
• 51 to 75 Miles £50
• Over 76 Miles 1st Door £41.13 and each subsequent door £9.39.
• For postcode areas HX, LS and WF we can deliver upto 8 doors for £23.50

Any door handles ordered at the same time as the doors will be delivered free of charge

For deliverys 0 to 50 miles, we will always endeaver to reduce costs on transporting goods, if you have orders more thatn 10 doors and are within 50 miles you should Email Us or ring us on 01484 452112 for a quote

Does not apply to White Moulded, Knotty or Clear pine collections.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. GENERAL

Oakwood Doors is pleased to accept orders subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale as stated below. Unless expressly agreed in writing (for example in the case of a tender), any alteration to these conditions will not apply. In these terms “you” and “your” as appropriate refer to the Buyer and “us”, and “our” and “we” refer to the Seller, Oakwood Doors. “Days refers to working days, being Monday to Friday inclusive excluding bank holidays, unless otherwise stated.

2.QUOTATIONS

Our quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of their issue. Quotations are for the sole use of the addressee and we reserve the right to withdraw a quotation which has been passed by you to a third part.

3. DELIVERY & COLLECTION OF GOODS

In normal circumstances

• We will deliver an order within the agreed delivery period (once additional payment processed), but we cannot be held liable for any loss caused by late delivery. If we do deliver late you are not entitled to regard this as a breach of contract.
• Goods will be delivered to the delivery address supplied by you. You are considered to have given authority to accept a delivery on your behalf or any person who actually accepts delivery at the delivery address.
• If we or the goods carrier cannot deliver to the delivery address then we may either store the goods and deliver at a later date, or return the goods to stock and deliver similar goods later. An extra storage charge may be charged.
• You are obliged to provide adequate labour facilities and the delivery or collection address to unload or load the Goods without undue delay. We will require compensation for any loss we suffer arising from delivery or collection or non-delivery or non-collection of the Goods. If it is not our fault, or that of our carrier, that any delivery or collection is delayed or cannot be carried out then we will charge you for any extra costs incurred.
• If we deliver in instalments to you, then each instalment is a separate contract. If payment in full is not made to us at the proper time for orders which have already been delivered, then we may withhold or cancel delivery of any other of your orders which have not yet been delivered.
• Our prices exclude delivery or transport charges, insurance in transit taxes. We will charge you extra for transport, packaging, taxes and insurance as applicable. You can contact Oakwood Doors Tel; 452112 for quotations for delivery.

4.PRICES

All prices are quoted inclusive of Value Added Tax (“VAT”).

5.PAYMENT

Unless otherwise stated, invoices must be paid at the time of ordering goods.

• If an account has been opened and we have agreed, invoices must be paid within 28 calendar days of their date. If you have not paid in full by that date then:-
• We will be entitled to charge you interest at 4% above the current base lending rate of the National Westminster Bank, compounded daily, on the amount outstanding until it has been paid in full.

c) If you have a dispute or counterclaim with us, you will not be entitled to make any reduction in or deferment of payment because of the dispute or counterclaim.

d) Payment will not be deemed to have been made until any and all cheques, drafts and bills by which payment is to be effected has been cleared or honoured as the case may be.

6. WARRANTY

a) All goods supplied by us are supplied by XL Joinery Ltd and JB Kind Ltd who are not responsible for the manufacture of the items. All goods are deemed as suitable for the purpose for which they are designed under fair conditions. Our liability under this Warranty will be limited to the replacement, or goods acknowledged by us to be faulty, provided that such faults have not been caused by your misuse of the goods or your negligent handling of them. You must handle store and use the items strictly in accordance with the recommendations for use of the manufacturers of the items (if any).

b) In order to make a claim under this Warranty you must advise us of this of any damage within 48 hours. You must return the goods:-

i) Within 7 days of delivery date or the time stipulated by the manufacturer, whichever is the longer?

ii) in good order, condition and original packaging

iii) carriage paid

iv) to Oakwood Doors, Unit 7a, Riverside Works, Bradley Mills Road , Huddersfield . HD1 6PQ

c) REFUNDS & EXCHANGES POLICY

CHANGE OF MIND

If your doors are not in stock & they are ordered from the door supplier to your specific requirements/sizes you can return the doors under the following requirements : Please Note: There will be a restocking recharge of 25% excluding VAT.

• The doors must be undamaged & still in their original packaging.
• You should contact Oakwood doors within 48 hours to state you wish to return doors that have no fault. If we are satisfied that the doors are in a saleable condition and in original packaging we will charge a minimum 25% excluding VAT for the restocking charge.
• If you have ordered your doors finishing, and we have already started this process, there will be no refund.

DAMAGES Any damages should be reported to Oakwood Doors within 48 hours. The door must be returned to Oakwood Doors in its original packaging.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

We reserve the right to cancel an order or suspend or delay delivery of it without being liable for any loss or damage if supply of the goods is prevented or delayed by reason of war, (whether declared or not), civil strife, riots, adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, labour disputes accidents or any other cause or circumstances beyond our control.

8. RETENTION OF TITLE AND SET-OFF

a) General – Notwithstanding delivery of goods, we will still own them until you have paid in full for them in accordance with this contract.

9. CARE OF TIMBER DOORS ON SITE

Important.

Always treat the end grain and ensure that a good treatment is applied to all surfaces. Pay close attention to top and bottom edges, cut areas for lock and hinge housings and holes for letter plates.

10. INTERPRETATION AND VALIDITY

The construction, validity and performance of this contract will be governed only by English law, and the English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction. The interpretation of any clause or sub-clause above will not in any way be limited or restricted by reference to or interference from any clause or sub-clause. If for any reason one clause or sub-clause is enforceable according to its terms then the others will remain in full force and effect.
